Frost Museum of Science Opening Gala

The Liaisons events team worked with the Frost Museum of Science to bring to life a vision for its very much anticipated grand opening event and fundraiser. The 750-guest event brought together top members of the philanthropic and academic communities to celebrate the beginning of a new era of science and technology at the museum’s new, state-of-the-art campus in Downtown Miami’s Museum Park. The four-part extravaganza of live performances and multimedia presentations highlighted Frost’s unique status as Miami’s only planetarium, aquarium and science museum. The Liaisons team handpicked the food and décor, secured sponsors for the event and produced marketing materials for the event. Welcoming remarks were given by Frost Science President, Frank Steslow; Dr. Phillip and Patricia Frost; Frost Science Board Chairman, Cesar L. Alvarez, and Smithsonian Institution Acting Provost Acting Provost & Under Secretary for Museums and Research, Dr. Richard Kurin. The event succeeded in raising over $1.2 million in support of the museum’s exhibitions and programs.
